Pre-purchase Survey of Vessels

Confirmation of main particulars of vessel and condition in order to provide Valuation for Insurance purposes.  This survey can meet  the requirements of your Insurance Company and also Finance Company if required.

Insurance Survey

Survey of Vessel or Cargo or Facility to ascertain the extent of damage resulting from an incident. This can extend to provision of repair suggestions, and supervision of  repairs . Areas of experience include GRP, Aluminium FRP and Steel.

Damage Survey.

Specification documentation prepared to allow quotation by boatyards and shipyards for repairs, refits and conversions. Advise on your choice of contractors, comments about their quotations can be made and their work can be supervised.

Refit Specification and/or Supervision

On / Off Hire Survey.

Survey of vessel either at the commencement or termination of charter period to confirm condition, cargo handling gear, fuel quantities etc.

Survey of cargo to confirm dimensions for charging purposes and the suitability of the lashing arrangements for transport by sea.

Superintendancy of cargo loading to ensure that high weight, awkward and high value loads are properly handled by stevedores. Reporting on events by e-mail or on paper as required.

Supervision or monitoring of loading operations to ensure careful and proper handling during loading and to  ensure that lashing and securing is suitable for sea transport.
